Beaver Barracks is one of the first Canadian projects to use Schöck Isokorb®, a thermal insulating, load-bearing element. Schöck Isokorb® is used for the thermal partitioning of free cantilever balconies. It is available for connecting reinforced concrete to reinforced concrete.

Isokorb® creates a stable climate building envelope providing lasting comfort, energy savings as well as environmental benefits.

As Sustainable design and energy efficiency were priorities on this project, the project planners have implemented the Isokorb® into the balconies of the Catharine Street Building.

To find out more about this project and the product, its advantages and the installation we invite you to watch the video.
