Isokorb® Structural Thermal Breaks. Now ICC-ES Approved.

PRINCETON, NJ — Schöck’s line of Isokorb® structural thermal breaks for concrete-to-concrete connections were confirmed by ICC-ES in January 2020 to be in compliance with the 2015 International Building Code® (IBC) and the 2015 International Residential Code® (IRC) –– the latest published codes by the International Code Council.

The ICC-ES Evaluation Report (ESR-4019) evaluated the materials, design, structural integrity and fire resistance of 13 configurations of Schöck Isokorb® structural thermal breaks used to minimize thermal bridging when connecting external reinforced concrete balconies and parapets to internal reinforced concrete floor slabs and walls.

In October 2019, Schöck North America also received Underwriters Laboratories (UL) approval for its Isokorb® products, and in December received ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification.
