Below is an overview of our current Lunch & Learn courses. Each is one hour in length and includes a box lunch for all attendees.

Structural Thermal Breaks for Balconies, Canopies and Beams

(AIA Course Isokorb® W200, 1 LU/CEU)
Currently our most requested Lunch & Learn, this course is AIA approved and offers an introduction to the effects of thermal bridging and the benefits of using structural thermal breaks to address them. Attendees will learn where STBs are most commonly used, how they can be incorporated in the building envelope design, and what benefits are gained by using them.

Advanced Structural Thermal Breaks for Engineers

(Coming soon)
Geared toward the professional engineer, this course builds upon basic knowledge of STBs and the issues they address. In this course, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of forces, load transfers, geometric considerations and support conditions surrounding the use of STBs. Specific attention will be paid to design calculations and energy modeling. Tips on avoiding potential pitfalls in design will be provided.
